...will be early in the am in my area-will be out in the backyard "moon unit"(stargazer shack) :) with several different telescopes at the ready and Pink Floyd on the turntable :) anyone else here going to watch the eclipse, interested in backyard skywatching or any special backyard buildings? : relax shacks, mower sheds, observatories, or the like?

We had plans to view it, although they weren't even remotely as elaborate as yours.  Unfortunately, we've been dealing with the lion's side of March and while skies had cleared by early evening, cloud cover had moved in by 11:30, when totality had been reached.

Seeing as how I've seen my share of lunar eclipses, I'm OK with the alternative of adding to our rainfall totals for the season.

I also had some cloud cover starting at 11:30...with the event starting at 11:00-cloud cover was spotty and moving so did not spoil the view too bad, just enough that telescope was not deployed.Watched to about 1:00 am when moon was full red listening to records on the old Califone school record player :)
