"Mid-60's Whirlpool Supreme portable dishwasher. Has been in our family since new, and was last used in 1968, when it was moved to the house with the built-in dishwasher. Our folks would have dumped it if it did not work, so as far as I know, it should still run, might need TLC. No racks or baskets, but the cord and hoses are intact.Even has the manual!
Might be good to wash big things, or farmer's market produce, or who knows? Use your imagination! A little piece of appliance history!
$40 OBO. Pick up in Iowa City only.
34.5"H x 23.25"W x 24.5D Less"

No racks, or basket but they want $40....

They have no shame some people.

What is one supposed to do with a vintage dishwasher model long discontinued that is missing important parts? It isn't as if anything modern would suffice, and NOS parts are likely difficult to impossible to find.

Better off simply giving the thing away, but because it is vintage it must be worth something....

That is residue of some hard Iowa water.  My grandmother in West Union used to dip water out of the rain barrel to wash her hair.  The inside of her blue and white speckled tea kettle looked like the mineral deposits around a Yellowstone hot spring

How do you suppose they lost the racks?  Maybe took them out to wash the Weber kettle, although it seems like you would still need the lower rack.
