These older Microwave-Ovens do look quite good, considering their era of construction. Personally, I'd like to have one in my own kitchen (well, something vintage at least!)

There are things that sell for a lot more than they are supposed to be worth on eBay!
For example:
I already have a Frigidaire lighter but I would have liked to get another one, but at that price (see the link), no way!
This seller didn't start with a high price but the bids went up... There could be many reasons for something like this to happen but I guess at least two persons wanted it at that price!

The first time I ever saw one of those was at the Elk's Club swimming pool vending machines. You would buy a sandwich out of the vending machine and heat it in the little chrome Amana.
