Hello all...

I recently found this site by listing a vintage washer on Craigs. Am in the process of clearing out my Mother's home (which is filled with many vintage things).

I am taking home a few cool vintage things for myself... but I live in a small apartment and can't fit all I want. I really really wanted to take home the Sunbeam percolator (but all I can hear is my Mom saying that it is alluminum and that is bad... who knows... but what I do know is that no matter how much I want to use it, I'd not be able to put up with hearing my Mom in my head every time I go to make coffee). It's a beauty though isn't it???!!!

Before I put these things out in the yard sale this weekend... I thought I might show them to you all so that if anyone here is searching for any one of these you can get first shot at them.

I am really adoring this community and am warmed by the idea of preserving all these wonderful vintage items.

Thanks for your input!!!

A Vornado blender (supposedly only missing an O ring, Mom never stopped talking about what a wonderful blender this was), a Coby knife sharpener, A Sears under the counter can opener, Wollensak 3M recorder

And although this is not really an appliance... I thought it in sort of the same idea (and it's kinda cool)
Oreck Tidy-up (I think this was Grandmas).

Hi..

Thanks for the welcome ;O) I think I'm getting addicted.

It is a really cute fan... I believe it's from the 50's. It's been here at Mom's for as long as I can remember. Am getting lots of inquiries about it via email (I put it up on Craigslist with no price and have already started getting offers). Just gotta find the right home for it :o) Only wish my apartment was big enough to accomidate this and all the other vintage things I adore from Moms.

Yes.. memories

This toaster(and a matching waffle iron that will need be repaired) is coming home with me. In my memories I can still smell the toast that came out of this from way back when I was a very little girl, and I remember being so fascinated by the way the inside wires would glow red... patiently, and often impatiently waiting for the golden slices to pop up like a jack in the box. The toaster still works, I can't wait to go home and make toast :o)
