Vintage Craftsman Sink and Dishwasher Combination

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Yes, it's a Hotpoint alright.   If it'd been a Kenmore or a Homart, I might have understood they figured 'Craftsman' from the association with Sears, but yeeesh!!

And darn tootin', if that had been in or around  THIS Ogden, I'd be on the way now to pick it up now.  I've gotten good a cramming things into the poor ol' Ford wagon... LOL

I Think "Craftsman" Is....

A reference to the Craftsman style of residential architecture, not the Sears brand name for tools. Mind you, it's mis-applied in this instance; the Craftsman style, a.k.a. Arts & Crafts, came and went long before this midcentury dishwasher was produced.

But that's what I think the seller intended to convey. And since this is not a very common unit, I'm posting a photo below; people using the Super Searchalator in future to find info on early Hotpoint DW's deserve more than a dead link:

Ad photo postings

Sandy, since the ad for this sink combo was already deleted, I really appreciated your photo posting just one scroll further down, especially since I would not have thought of doing a search to see one as Launderess kindly did. I am not very adept at searching internet but this site's membership is both knowledgable and friendly and on occasion provide a good few more chuckles than most TV today for us appliance afficianados. Also great to see how durable quality enamelled cast iron can be for sinkware. Thanks to all who post comments, links, or photos-adds to our knowledge and appreciation of the subject under discussion-and what a great compendium of knowledge we have here on AW, SADLY maybe MORE than at any single major appliance maker today.
