Vintage Electric Range in need of repair

Hello, So nice to find this community of people who appreciate old things. The broiler and oven stopped working on my vintage (circa 1970) Whirlpool electric range. The local repair service I have used in the past said they can't get parts for it and won't come out. Whirlpool can't find the manual. (I think the thermal fuse may need replacing from looking online and some tinkering with it.). It works beautifully otherwise, with new blocks and elements that I put in this year. Any ideas on how I can get the oven and broiler working again?

I think an independent appliance parts retailer would have the necessary component or would otherwise be able to obtain it. 

 

I am not surprised that an authorized Whirlpool service provider gave you the brush-off.

Unplug it, look for any broken wires first.

Is there a "manual" setting on the clock/timer?
