WAY COOL!

Love the SS.

There are no "front" elements, That must become annoying. I am sure users who had children saw this as a safety benefit.

Location of controls on the regular cook-top looks like a GE!

Something like that would work well outside, next to the BBQ. When folded away, its easier to cover to water-poof. Personally I HATE propane side-burners. Mine loads the outside of the pot up with carbon/soot.

Never seen one!

That is way too cool, I love that kind of stuff, thank you for finding Launderess.

Man, if I only had an infinite amount of kitchens and an infinite amount of laundry rooms....

:-)

I saw one of these on a Home Improvment show a few months ago. So they are still available. I forgot who the manufacturer was. It was recommended for "tight" kitchens. I am sure it is a special order item.

I love it

I would be very happy with a setup like that as opposed to a conventional cooktop or stove. All that saved counter space plus it looks cool. Surprised it hasn't made a comeback. Would be really neat if it was induction and even thinner.

The TOL model came with one plain 6" and one 8" unit and one speed heat 6" and 8" Heat Minder. They also came as separate 2 unit modules. We bought the TOL big one close to 20 years ago in a thrift store in a thrift store type neighborhood and John walked out of the place balancing it on one shoulder. One passerby asked him what kind of big boom box he had.

Not worthy of mention in the same paragraph: Dixie made these in gas and yes, there was a safety cut off so that they could not be turned on when closed or closed while on.

Wall Stove

Ok, Laundress..you win for the best posts and being able to devine from the Ebay throng of ads, the BEST items. This is just too cool. Why on earth did this fade from production? TomTurbo, advises that this was produced in a gas model, with a safety switch...Had I been doing a Kitchen remodel now, I would buy this in a heartbeat
