Again-another example of getting rid of equipment that is perfectly good-to be replaced with JUNKY new equipment-why not continue to use these?Esp the dishwasher-its in prestine shape.Don't get it.

A real find. Funny how long GE kept that excellent cooktop design and then in the 70s, replaced the buttons with the infinite switches.

the suburb of Houston where that's located, in 1960 was out in the middle of nowhere.  It was a small town in and of itself.  I remember seeing MANY houses in my subdivision built between late 1960 and eearly 1963 that included this exact set of kitchen applianes (aside from the all-Frigidaire street 3 blocks behind my parents house).  There were 3 I can think of right off the top of my head on our street alone.

We had that cooktop in the Sharpstown house we had years ago. But it came with an P7 double oven and our dishwasher looked different, all in avacado green.
