Looks like the GE logo under the digital clock.  Also the term "Sensi-Temp" may have been trademarked by GE.

 

Another nicer model with two 8" burners, but the style of GE's (and most any other make) from this period just does nothing for me.

What I think Phil is referring to is the fact that GE outshopped some of its 40-inchers to WCI in the late '70s or early '80s. Those ranges are the living definition of the term POS, even if they do use the old Kelvinator frame. People who love GEs don't consider these Frankenranges to really be GEs.

The range in the photos above is GE-built, using the frame first seen on 1957 TOL models. You can tell by the fact that the oven doors do not overlap the side panels, and several other more subtle clues. [this post was last edited: 2/26/2014-09:30]
