Ah yes, the very washer my aunt and uncle had...that inspired my love of Kenmores. This is a 500 series model from 1970. Too bad there aren't interior pics. This washer would have the speckled tub, gold straight vaned agitator with cone shaped cap, and a manual waterfall lint filter of the maze type. This washer looks like it may have been lightly used, as the console base below the escutcheon is still black and not faded. I hope this washer and its dryer mate find a good home.

My mother had a similar washer that had to be lower than a 500. It said 2 speed, 4 cycle but did not have a level or temp. control. Temp set at faucets with one inlet hose and by going to 2 minutes agitation started at the level you wanted. I remember her paying cash when it was delivered, a little over $100.

Swestoyz: Yes these are 500 series models. Generously featured for a 500 series pair, I will admit.

Appnut: This is exactly the pair that is in the POD, which also features a lower series set where the controls are on the front rather than on top.
