I bought that same Kenmore model in gas in the mid 70's, at a Sears scratch and dent sale and worked fine and ex-wife gave it to her brother who used it for many years after when I bought my Maytag set in 1984 that I am still using now.

My Adventures in Posting

Hi Launderess and all the others who might scan over my posts. This one here frustrated me. It's funny, sometimes the most beat up old neglected appliances are so well documented, as if to impart some extra importance to their costly, time consuming restoration.

This Sears Kenmore is a relic of a long-standing American business. I still see the Sears stores all closed at some malls or shopping centers. It seems eerily surreal, although I remember they were pretty disappointing as their closing years approached.
