VINTAGE SEARS LADY KENMORE COOKTOP STOVE RANGE (TINLEY PARK)

Is this a lesson in how not to buy a ceramic top - the seller claims: " Sears Lady Kenmore electric cooktop range in good working condition and good cosmetic condition. Was pulled out of a 1950 house while updating and was working good."

It doesn't look bad, but "looks good"? Are those permanent marred areas around the cooktop elements or would those come clean? Age - 1960's?

I'd guess that's a 70s model.   I had one of those white Corning-type cooktops and I hated it. The slighest little boil-over would fuse to the ceramic and unless you scrubbed it off ASAP, the stuff would burn into the cooktop.   Oh yeah, just like this one!

Those "rings"

Look like they may have used a dirty cast iron pan, that will make burned on rings that are next to impossible to remove.
