Vintage Sunbeam Mixmaster

Has anyone sent off a vintage mixmaster to be restored? I've seen a couple of places on the internet that say they do a complete rebuild from the ground up. They will also re-paint and decal the unit. Any opinions?

I know someone in CT who bought one from a place in Toronto, Ontario and he was thrilled with it! I am actually about to give that a try myself... I found a decal place on eBay selling original Mixmaster logos so I thought it would be worth a try.

The Mending Shed, Decodan, Ken's Appliances and Dave Harnish are the guys with parts and knowledge. Decodan is the premier restoration expert who prints and sells the decals. Just love the mixer enough to spend $300.00 for overhaul and paint. I can fix the 10, 11 and 12 so just send me an email if you need parts or repair.
