That Elkay Sink....

....Is nice! Elkay also made that stainless double-drainboard design in a drop-in model for installation in your own countertop. For many years, it was a Hudie ring design, now it's a raised-rim design. I'd sure love to have one, preferably the Hudie ring drop-in.

Those metal cabinets are American Kitchens, designed by Raymond Loewy. The brand was built by Avco, the same company in Connersville, Indiana that built the legendary (for all the wrong reasons) D & M dishwashers.

Sandy -yeah, if that's so , I'd go with the stainless DD. I used to have an Uncle Hudie - or was it Yahudee...just kidding. What's a Hudie ring design? I know, "look it up Phil! ".

Raymond Loewy - his train design are cool ; I'd like to see these cabinets because as such, metal cabinets aren't talking to me like they do to some.

Harvest gold Maytag washer/dryer - $150 (wyoming)

Ad: " Maytag washer and dryer older set. TOO small for our big size family. So we obtained a larger set.

Sears Kenmore Visi-Matic Wringer Washer - $300 (Beaverton)

may have been posted before, but ad shows 4 hours ago:

" Sears Kenmore Visi-Matic wringer wash machine pink in color white-with-green-accents rollers. This machine is in what I would call very good to excellent condition with very little rust spotting and only one small chip in the white porcelain ring at the top of the tub. The machine functioned perfectly the last time I used it about eight years ago, and has been in storage since then. This vintage appliance would make an interesting window display piece for a nostalgic theme, or whatever else you might envision. I have seen others like this, but not what I would consider as nice a condition as this one, at significantly higher prices, so I believe my price is very fair. The casters are wooden casters and in real good condition and have brakes on them. Following is the information off the label:
- Stock No. 3250, 120 Volt, 60 Cycle, 6 Amp.
- Serial No. 05910C98
- Model No. 110 - 6302500

I have done a little searching for more information but have found nothing definitive, so I don't really know when the machine might have been manufactured and/or sold. I would guess probably the 1950's to 1960's, somewhere in there? Perhaps the "98C" in the Serial Number means '1998', but I don't think it is that recent? I'm in Beaverton and the machine is in east county so I will not show it to someone on a whim because you're 'just curious'...serious shoppers only! Please call Gary show contact info for more information, and thanks for looking "
