that doll stands pretty tall. That doll is over 2 ft tall. That dryer is a standard sized dryer for it's time. If you relate it to today's dryers the capacity would be small although the cabinet is as wide as it is.

Rick - more than a double-take, standing a doll next to the dryer gave me reason to pause. Was she the owner? Or home-keeper? I went to bed wondering if she upgraded to a new Samsung.

At least it's not a toy(the washer).

"Dolls as large as toddlers"

My sister had one like her - forgot the name, but it overwhelmed all the other dolls.

eeeee-gads...was he taught by Dan Akroyd doing the imitation of Julia Child preparing chicken demo? Or plastic surgery volunteer?

"forgot the name"

She was probably 'Patty Playpal,' an Ideal product. An expensive and coveted doll in the early '60s.

Patty had a brother, 'Peter Playpal,' a name that didn't raise snickers then like it would today.

Sandy - haha! Peter Playpal. My sister had the Patty Playpal, thanks for digging up that name. Huge doll, it wasn't too much smaller than my sister, at the time.
