Vintage Wringer Washer ID help

I recently have purchased the wringer washer pictured below. I believe it to be a Kenmore from the early 40s but I am not sure. if anyone could provide some help I would appreciate it it is fully functional and works great still. Also would like some advice on how to get the rust off best paint used to restore it etc. Thank you for any and all suggestions and advice.

could try a little BarKeepers Freind.. It dose fairly well removing rust.
I painted my old Maytag wringer with oil based enamel..figured that's what was used when it was in the factory so.. The Kenmore experts will drop by soon to give you details on its birthday, having a serial number might help them date it.
