Thanks to all for their encouragement during the refurbish. Right now, its going to be a '20 footer', a term from the car collector world where it looks great from 20ft away, but the closer you get, you see its flaws. The ideal restoration would to send the cabinet to be stripped and professionally painted, replace as many worn parts as possible and replete the chrome and polish the stainless steel trim. Since I did not hit Powerball and want to get it up and running here is what it looks like so far. The boot is not installed on the outer panel as this is just a 'quickie' photo shoot. Perfection

comes at a great price. I'd say you are doing a fine job on a logical budget. Anyone who doesn't like it can read some other thread. I am impressed and learning. I have more than one machine that will never be perfect, but will be looking darn good and have no more rust, and be working properly.
Keep posting as you go along---
Thank you
Mark

Great job, Jerry! I know you did not take those photo's from 20ft and it looks great. Most def something you can not go out and buy, a FL that uses water and splashes and sloshes (sp). Well done. ALR
