Hey, get that new appliance launcher out! Watch out neighbors!
Brent

Time for a launch

That right Brent!! This was the last modern appliance to be removed from our kitchen, YAY. Its only natural that instead of just putting it out in the trash we would want to use my Acme Modern Appliance Launcher (complete with the 20 foot rubber band) to launch this yukky plastic dishwasher into the atmosphere.

Here's what it sounded like when it went bye-bye...

alternative to the appliance launcher

While looking around on the web(typed in crushers and compactors)found this website-www. sanitech.net They show the machine crushing various things-the device uses a very large auger to accomplish its destructive mission. In one film clip it shows it crushing a dishwasher.(under the one as washing machine)On the Jay Leno show last year-they had one episode that showed an appliance launcher(trebecheut)based upon a a medevial weapon used before artillery. On the show-it threw a fridge-a KN washer-and then a large box of melons. The unit used a large weight to balance the throwing arm for launching its projectiles. It used a gas engine powered winch to cock the throwing arm. At the shooting range I used to go to-there were various "condemmed" far gone fridges, washers and water heaters.

scrapping

Amazing how these recycling companies can't seem to be able know the difference between dishwashers, dryers, and clothes washers

modern dishwasher

So did this DW end up in the used appliance store like the refrigerator? How old was it?

I have no idea where it is now, remember it's been launched. It probably landed somewhere over in St. Paul. Considering how cheaply its made it probably shattered into a million pieces.

Oh, Robert thank you so very much for picture of the “Imperial“. Your kitchen is sooo very beautiful. All of the hard work you have done. Others like me would have given up. Not you. I have learned so much from your perseverance.

Here’s my feelings. Forget about going to a $exclusive$ spa or suckered into some hocus polkas celestial shock-a barber surgeon charlatan in Sedona, AZ.

My central nervous system is beyond shot! Doctors expression are like that of a dog hearing a new sound. I now know what my cure is. 48 hours in your basement and kitchen. All I need is a blanket. I’m certain I’ll snap out of it.

Robert please give it some thought? You have struck pay dirt. I am not pee shy or modest. I know there are other members who will come forth and admit their ills. Agreeing with me that Robert’s kitchen and basement are the long sought after cure.

Thank goodness Neal doesn't mind changing appliances the way most people change shoes ;-)

He knows who he married and he has learned by now its easier just to say "yes dear", "if it makes you happy dear" when it comes to the appliances. :) I'm a lucky boy.

OK, Have I've missed something here. Where is this picture of the kitchen with the Imperial in it?

And yes party cycle, I agree. I asked if I could spend the night in the basement so I could be with all those machines (at the 2001 convention), but no. Yes, it was very soothing when I was down there by myself, the aura, and the scents in the air.

What is that ominous black dishwasher-A vintage KA is waiting for me as soon as its owners finish remodeling their kitchen.another Applianceville member plugged me into the machine. They are going to replace the KA machine with a ....Roper.I am very grateful to Touchmatic.
