The ad copy translates to "clock washer," and "doesn't work."
The second part I totally get -- it's a Snorge -- but I don't know where the clock reference is coming from.

Perhaps a reference to a bad timer?
Yes that would be clearly my guess, and what's the one small knob used for? Temperature or if controlled by the timer dial a water level control?

The small knob is labeled Water Saver (level). Temperature presumably is in the timer.
