Because it's a Signature, I of course sent Nate a link to the ad for this range and all of the nice pictures the seller provided.  I didn't place this thread in SS because most will think the stove is overpriced (but it is pristine), and Nate and I just have one question about it.

Who made it?  The burner elements look wide and flat, like on a Frigidaire, but by and large -- if not exclusively, Wards stoves from this period were  made by Westinghouse.  Did WH offer a flat Corox element like those of Frigidaire?  I can't identify the bake element, but that might answer the question.

Thanks Tom!  By "inset" do you mean the beveled exterior door surface that surrounds the opening for the window?  That window blank must get pretty hot!   What can you tell us about the burner elements?  Are they a later type of Corox commonly found on Westinghouse ranges from this period?

I think if Nate had 240V service in his kitchen, I might be snagging and storing this beauty for him.  It's like new, and even though it's a Signature, you can be sure if it's Westinghouse.

I have always been interested in the "speed broil".  For obvious reasons was "speed broil" a feature found only on self cleaners?

It was introduced before self cleaners so the oven rack as well as the broiler pan under it that caught the drippings had to be washed either by hand or in the dishwasher. It would not be practical to run the self cleaning cycle every time the speed broil was used anyway. The easiest way to clean oven racks in warm weather is to put them in a large black plastic bag and spray them with oven cleaner. A few hours in the sun and all of the baked on food is able to be easily removed and rinsed away.
