Posting out of curiosity. What level of automation (if any) did the Wring-A-Matic verbiage signify?

Compared to fully automatic washing machines Wards "Wring-a-Matic" provided nearly nil automation.
Same as for any other semi-automatic washing machine I suppose. Only "automation" would be agitation, wringing and possibly draining of washer. Filling, timing, feeding things into wringer and so forth still required human intervention.
In common with Sears, Spiegel and others Montgomery Wards didn't produce anything; rather their brand name was slapped on things made by others.
Lovell company who long made wringers and mangles (both hand and power driven) made the "Wring-a-Matic" wringer for that Ward's washer.
