What's with all of the flowers on the control panel? Does it being on the shipping skids mean that it is less likely to have rust?

This is the very rare, colonial, charm edition, never saw one of these before that's for sure.

Wonder if it was used to dry all the water out that was left from the Kenmore avocado wringer washer behind it?
