Was this particular kitchen aid dishwasher convertable from portable to built in?

Hello everyone,

i was wondering if this particular kitchen aid dishwasher model was convertible from portable to built in and if any aw members have brochures scna of this model my grandmother had this particular model in white that she got from her daughter?

Said machine is intended as a portable only, with the controls mounted at the top rear. I suppose some ambitious person could disassemble the top and mount the control panel to the back of the countertop, but would be a lot of trouble. The full width handle would probably look odd if built in.
 
I would say that,if you have a permanent spot like the corner at the end of the counter,it could be permanently installed but it would need to be rigged. The convertibles have to have their outer body removed in order to install them permanently.This one could be connected the same way as a built in but without removing any cabinetry or outer body works.As long as the appliance was not going to be moved around (I'd remove the wheels) I think it would be able to have this permanently hooked up to hot water,drainage and power.You would need to disconnect the unicouple from the unit and replace it with an individual inlet hot water hose and an individual drain hose.

Funny, but I remember GE had a front-load portable model that was not intended to be built-in too.
