The Whirlpool is belt-drive, yes.  An LFA-7800 washer (18-pounder with winged Surgilator) and LFE-7800 pair (or LFI-7805 if gas).

Actually, the gas model was LFI-7801, I know this because my mother had the gas version of this dryer from November 1979 to Spring 2002…PAT COFFEY
