washing nasty pot holders

I find the best way to get these clean is with the Maytag wringer washer! Some Biz, Tide liquid, hot water and a long wash time... Seemed to do a good job anyway

For me I cram them into the Miele, add Tide or Persil, set for 190F extended wash, and they come out clean and grease free.

I use hot water, good detergent, and an oxy-clean like powder as I cant bleach them. Theyre all different colours.

Getting really dirty kitchen stuff clean

I use the calypso or SQ FL washer with water heater setting selected WITH a good dose of liquid Aldi liquid DW detergent with bleach, for really dirty stuff the only reasonable to get them clean is a low water use machine although a WW can work very well if you are willing to use a few cups of detergent to do so.

Lots of different solvents

I soak them in an enzyme presoak overnight, then rinse them in hot water with ammonia and low suds detergent. If they're clean at that point, I'll do a final warm rinse with softener. If not, I'll do it all over again. Works well with old-style thick white oven mitts.

Seems to be the key - and a couple of color catcher squares in with the hot water wash the next day.

Any stains remaining fall victim to Hydrogen Peroxide.

I do block the prettier ones to dry.
