Weekend flea markets

We went to a couple of fleas today and found some stuff... like we needed more!!

For washing the dainties...

A "Lido" and "Beehive" vacuum pot, and a Silex coffee dispenser...

A very gay corn-on-the-cob set and card holders for the next rousing game of Canasta!

We also got some nice catalogs from Montgomery Ward and several merchandise houses. These are a great reference for vintage appliance dating and information!

This cute lamp came from the last trip to the fleas. Nice pank fiberglass shades!

Great vintage shot. I collect lamps, I have this killer lamp that had a mate, but the people cleaning up the estate, chucked it out because the shade was broken. I could have died. I "inherited" it when my friend's sister was clearing the house after he died. She thought it was hideous.

my best find this weekend...

I picked up a 3rd copy of one of my favorite theatre organ Lp's.

THEATRE ORGAN IN HI-FI

All 3 copies are in nice shape, but this one I just picked up is absolutely mint condition without a single pop or click on either side.

I really like the look of that Silex coffee dispenser. How does that work? I've never seen one of those before.

Cool stuff. The mini washer I think I've seen before branded Silex including the mini wringer attachment. Sears sold one as well though I'm not sure if it's the same maker or not?

Hey Bob,

Here's a scan of the front and back of an ad card for it. Basically, you fill it, hold it over the top pot, and engage the lever once for each cup you're brewing!
