Weird Two Piece DD Wash Basket

And even weirder, it is held together with tape! Duh! Duct tape never holds up in an application like this, Whirlpool should have used silicone impregnated gauze and glue.
Coincidentally it failed right at the point where the lint filter mount holes are, one in a million!
I chose to replace it with a one piece tub and avoide the whole issue of whether to tape or glue.[this post was last edited: 1/29/2019-16:06]

Failed Wash Basket [ one piece ]

You can take the WP model and serial # to any WP parts distributor and they will give you a FREE new wash basket.

 

This was a lifetime warranted wash basket against rust.
