I immediately thought of Hans "Norgeway" when I saw this ad.

From the seller: "Vintage 1955 white enamel Westinghouse electric 4 burner stove and oven/broiler. In excellent working condition, seldom used in our basement. Has a warming oven too and two storage drawers. No chips or scratches. Great for your retro kitchen or your cottage/cabin.
$75.00 obo."

Definitely not a '49 Commodore, as I grew up with one.   Either that or it's a nicer model than the Commodore.  The door and drawer pulls on the stove above are nicer, and it's got more features and options, including two 8" burners.  The backsplash has similar lines though, and the light bar looks like an add-on.

The Plain Jane '49 Commodore for comparison:

I have a copy of the 1939 and 1949 Westinghouse Electric range owners manuals. Here are pictures of both the 1949 Commadore ranges and the 49’ Commander. Also, a cover pic of the 39’ manual, with I believe the 39’ Commander.

I lived in a rental during the 80’s that had a 39’ Champion, it was the best electric range I ever used. I previous owner left the manuals behind, that how I came to have them. I have no idea why she had the 49’manual too, but she did but the 39’ brand new.

Here are also pics of the info tag that came with the range.

Thanks Eddie.  As I suspected, it's a Commander, not a Commodore.  A really nice range that could easily serve for another 68 years with proper treatment.  The reason only one burner ever needed to be replaced on my mom's stove (the outermost coil on the most-used 6" burner failed) is because she always stirred and never slid pans around on the burners or otherwise banged them up.

I was able to snag three good 6" burners off a junk stove for free.  As much as it got used, the 8" burner up front never failed.  I sent the spares along with the stove to Greg in Georgia when he took it off my hands.
