I figured I have been neglecting the dishwashers for too long, so on Saturday, I decided to take a run at that Viking (a rebadged Westinghouse) top-load dishwasher of mine that leaks. I have been given some great suggestions as to what is causing the leak, so I figured I would take the valve chamber apart for a look-see.
I'll be darned if I can't even get at those hex-head screws at the bottom of the chamber! The socket sets I tried were all too thick to get into that recess. I tried the small vice-grips and they were also too thick. I tried long-nosed pliers, but couldn't get a decent grip... GRRRR!
Any thoughts or suggestions on what might work here?? I am going to bet that 'Westinghouse tool style Q-XXMCMLVI' is needed...
