Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

The model was called the "Rancho." It saved on steel for the other side of the cabinet. I wonder if any of the cantilever-style stools survived? I can only find the Rancho listed for 1950. Its model # was GA64 and it had a list price of $160.00. Since it used a 40" cooktop, the stove had two 8" elements and two 6". It was second from the bottom of the line; the bol being a Coronet, FA63, apt size range, probably 21" wide, with three surface units that had a list price of $150.00 One step above this Rancho was a Coronet with 4 surface units, model FA64 also selling for $160.00. Above these were four 40" ranges: a Commodore, EA74 listing at $200; a Champion, DA74 listing at $260; a single oven Commander, BA74 listing at $330 and, finally, the double oven Commander deluxe, AA774 listing slightly to starboard at $370.

If you had 42" of space, you could have two Coronets with 8 surface units and two full sized ovens for $50.00 less than the cost of the TOL Commander with some sacrifice in TOL features.

Here is a page from the 1951 Westinghouse Catalog showing th

with and without its optional clock/timer and there is no stool offered.......also I think the Rancho was made at least until sometime during 1953 because the Rancho was still the stove being used by a builder of a big subdivison here in Vienna at that time (it was offered from the time the development was started in 1951).....PAT COFFEY

when I was on a dairy farm in Mansfield, Ohio, I saw this same model in one of their three barns. That was way back around 1975.They also had some broken down Laundromat commercial machines in desperate need for repairs. In order to get laundry done, they had to go to the local coin laundry which just happened to be smack dab in front of the old Westinghouse factory where the laundromats were made.I visited there often.I had been seeing a girl, Maybel, who was from Minnesota and there for a retreet.I fell into a deap sleep and she tied my shoe strings together.I went to get up and get the wash out to fold and fell flat on my face.No harm done. Just a bit puzzled. We laughed and wound up going for a long hike in the woods.

Interesting stove, particularly considering it offers two 8" burners.  My mom's '49 Commodore had the deep well pot where the other 8" burner would have been, so perhaps that was an option, and the surface layout was reversed, with burners on the right and workspace over the oven on the left.

I wonder where the seller found that "new" replacement burner element.  Real live Corox ones are virtually non-existent anymore.
