say if a magazine like consumers reports or others made test comparing modern front load washers, vintage front load washer 1950 up to today vmw topload washer to vintage topload washer 1950 up to today including direct drive in term of wash efficency what do you think would win all your answers are good since it concern all machines pics are posted as exemples?

Front loaders hands down. It's not what I think is more efficient, it's a proven fact.

Suds saver is a win in my book, allows you to save water and a machine that will pay for itself many times over. The suds saver isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but works well for lightly soiled items or just washing a few items to freshen them up.
