what kind of washer dryer where use in this show?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Based on what I can see, the dryer is a GE. The rear-opening lid with no instructions printed on it and the white bleach dispenser in the left front corner would cause me to think that the washer might be a Maytag, unless that is just a reflection of light and not the dispenser in which case Ida Know.

WCI built Kelvinator/Gibson, with that strange winged agitator....

it should have been a side opening lid, as you can see the holes for the hinged plugged off, but for the show, the hinges were moved to the back....

the shape of the control panel should have been your first clue.......

It would not have been a WH combo with a straight front; in fact the combos were discontinued by the time that the straight front tumbler washers appeared when Westinghouse had to redesign the tumbler washers and the dryers to have similar lines to the newly introduced top loading agitator washer.

>That was a pretty big load getting stuffed into that WCI, Oscar the Grouch probably wasn't too disappointed after all, nothing would get clean anyway.

Oh, I don't know. The water fill period seemed amazingly short. Any washer that can magically fill in a matter of seconds can probably also wash clothes even if the machine is overloaded. LOL

HE can???
They say they can! They would? Acceptably? Totally different matter to me.
AND...

To me that's a white-westinghouse, only brand who had consoles GE style like that and square top opening lids not lateral ... I can for sure recognize the detergent, the "Fresh" and "suds" on the back, actually is a badly patched box of surf, would recognize those stripes with written "attack dirt & odors" and the back instruction with the shirts everywhere!
