whatever happened to Glist Dishwasher tablets??

I remember 2005-2007 i used to use Glist dishwasher tablets, i found them brilliant at cleaning and shine, but then they stopped selling them in the UK, they still sell them in Germany under the name Somat, which is the same product as Glist under a different name (made by henkel)

I remember sainsburys were selling their washing detergents under their own brand name and they were made by henkel for a while the "perform and protect range"

Its a shame really as Glist were my favourite dishwasher tablets, i always had sparkly dishes and glasses without needing any extra rinse aid or salt.

I think Glist just couldn't get decent market share what with Finish and supermarkets' own brands.

Which? did say that the "Magic vinegar" version was wonderful on glasses.

In my area at least, Sainsbury kept the Glist line going after it disappeared out of the other stores (I vaguely remember a greenish box and a purple box: fresh smell or some such???).
