What's for dinner?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

I suppose if you don’t plan your meals ahead of time this might be a helpful tool.

I plan our dinners for every night a week in advance and then shop accordingly weekly. This way there is never any wasted food. I buy only the amounts of fresh vegetables and fruits that I know we will consume before they spoil.

We use all of our leftovers and they are planned into the weekly menu. Occasionally I’ll deviate from what I’ve planned for dinner and I always have a few items on hand either in the pantry or the freezer to put together an impromptu meal.

I'm kind of the opposite, I make what strikes me at the moment.  I occasionally plan something but that can shift.  Bought a slab of ribs 3 weeks ago intending to make potato salad and baked beans with it.  Ended up making the beans one week, the salad the next and the ribs yesterday, kind of whatever I'm in the mood for. I have a lot of meat in the freezer, pull out something and cook with it. I keep a large amount of produce in fridge too. Go shopping twice a week and look for deals and stock up.

I get bored eating the same thing frequently and a new recipe is welcome.
