when my mom and I moved in the condo where we live now back in 1996 the sellers wanted to sell us the condo with almond older ge appliances and a vintage kitchenaid dishwasher sure I can understand that my mom did not went the stove or fridge but I have question myself why did she not take the vintage kitchenaid dishwasher that was a Hobart rather than or modern 1993 inglis dishwasher at the time it was tihis model that we would of got with the condo we live in say you purchase a house that had this particular kitchenaid dishwasher install would you went to replace it with the dishwasher you own that is a bit more modern if at the time I would of know of aw I would of advise my mom to keep the vintage kitchen aid dishwasher even if she would of put the stove and fridge she own I am sure it would of lasted much longer then or 1993 inglis dishwasher that broke a few year later in 2005 well can not go back in time but makes me wonder if this model ever exsited as a portable model?

Jeeze Roger, be nice.

Anyways, I think the KDI-61 was the only convertible/portable model in the KD-21 line up. The picture you have Pierre is of a KDS-21, which I have and is apart of the KD-21 line up. Maybe Steve can shine some light on it?

thank you potatoechips I am sure if my mom would of keep it we would of had a better dishwasher then or 1993 model that we replace around 1998 then again the dishwasher was replace in 2005 after a leak then again in 2016 if one day if something happens to my mom and I go live with my brother and his girlfriend I think if it was a bi generation house where I would have my own space and full kitchen and place to put washer dryer I think I would go vintage but not at that point yet
