When your graphic designer has absolutely no clue what he's doing

This box has been sitting on my partner's machine for weeks and I just noticed that something is really wrong about the design.

The print reads "Washing machine hygiene cleaner", but that ain't no washing machine drum, is it?

...but I think the average person wouldn't have ever noticed. I do wonder how many people actually mixed up washers and dryers. Domestic front load pairs look identical and the popular thing to do these days is to add tinted portholes to both, which obscures what's going on inside.

At a laundromat it's a bit more obvious, you don't see water sloshing around in the big dryers but I'm sure there are a few laundromat owners out there with a story of someone putting soiled clothes and a few capfuls of detergent inside a dryer. "ooh, this washers CHEAP!!! Only 25 cents for 10 minutes!"

By some sheer coincidence, the YouTuber ibaisaic featured the British version of that exact product on a video a few days ago.

That product is called "Service It Washing Machine Deep cleaner".

Working in a quite large appliance company I know how many steps anything customer facing has to go through before being greenlit - it just amazes me.

I think it's a match.com commercial where the laundry chimes it's finished and one of the women runs to the bedroom waiting for the other one to dump the clean clothes over her. Well, she took the clothes out of the washer...but the clothes are dry being dumped on the other girl. I just noticed this a few days ago.

The images go from 1st to last starting off with a couple on the couch, then the washing machine called them saying “I’m done take laundry out of me” the first one, decides to get up and empty the The load of laundry into the basket, as there partner is running off to the bedroom and flopping into the centre of the bed, the first person we saw comes in, carrying the laundry basket, and looks at their partner, the second person nods as their partner throws the “warm” laundry over them
