Hi! I’m a first-time poster here and appreciate any responses.

I am talking to a nice lady on Craigslist who has an old portable whirlpool dishwasher for sale and I am guessing the model and year based on some googling, but I am not sure. She is selling for $50 and I think that is a great price, but I’m not sure if this is a good model and I haven’t found any information after googling for an hour last night, so I’m hoping someone here can guide me. I am a total novice in the world of vintage machines.

I asked if it was working and if the seal was good, and she responded “ The dishwasher was only used a few times by my mother. Then she used it just as an island in the kitchen. It has sat unused for many years. I assume it still works but it has not been tried for a very long time. I assume the seal is still good.”

That's a good performer.  The Super Scour cycle pauses the cycle for as long as it takes to heat the water at the asterisk timer positions (first wash & final rinse) with the pump continuing to run/spray while it heats.  I don't recall the target temperature.  145°F?  155°F?

FABULOUS dishwasher. At the time, it was the apple of my eye because of the wash arm under the upper rack. I almost bought one, but then Hobart came out with the 18 series. Whirlpool made great-cleaning dishwashers; I love my current WP-made Kenmore machine. You should love this machine's performance.
