Beautiful Range

But I can't imagine cooking on it WHAT A MESS it would be to clean, with as busy as I am and cooking dinner nearly every evening I would have to have full time help to deal with all those cracks and crevices, that was one of the real beauties of 50s electric ranges they not only worked faster-better but they were much easier to keep clean.

I think anybody who owned an Aristocrat or Town & Country probably had "the help" keep their stoves spotless.  I've never seen one that wasn't.

I knew I was right!  But other sites call this the Artistocrat...  And Roper made a Town & Country that was 8 burners, 2 ovens and huge!  There's even a 3 oven version instead of the middle high broiler oven.   Oh, the stoves of old...sigh.

I've been staring at the Town & Country for about five minutes. What a beauty! You could probably heat the kitchen from the pilot lights alone, LOL.

Man, that thing is an APPLIANCE.

Makes me tired just looking at it and thinking about all the cooking and cleaning one would have to do.

But a Range like that is a labor of love.

I would clean the ovens as soon as they begin to look the slightest bit soiled.

Definitely you would want to keep up with cleaning that range. Yes, those pilot lights would probably heat a small home. LOL

None the less, it is a beauty from the past.
