On SF Bay Area CL.  I really like this range, but am not in the market for one.  I'm curious, though.  The little flipper in the griddle cover looks familiar, but there's no brightwork or emblem to be found.

It has elements of Western Holly construction; the gray oven liner and pan bottom, the solid plate on a burner grate and the broiler compartment arranged for skewers. There might have been other gas ranges that shared these construction features, but I do not know about them. The shadow box control panel reminds me of Tappan ranges and some Crown ranges of roughly the same period.

The only Western Holly range I ever used had the only successful gas broiler I have used. It had a steel screen around the perimeter of the burner that glowed red in the flame to give infrared heat.

Thanks Tom.

I was leaning towards Wedgewood/Wedgewood-Holly/Western Holly.   The round legs and generous application of stainless steel give it a professional look that appeals to me.

It also has

the salt&pepper color oven of older Thermador ranges. It looks too new to be by gaffers and Sattler. I think Tappan had owned them by then, and they were clones.
Maybe it's an early Dacor?

Yes, well, thank heavens it's not a Welbuilt. I had a 30 inch gas stove in my first apartment up here with no identifying markings on it, but when I pulled out the broiler drawer to clean as much as possible, I discovered that was the brand. The oven baked beautifully and was heated with a round burner, but it was just crap for broiling so I did what my mom did when she had a gas range and pan broiled. I found a small porcelainized cast iron skillet at Ursell's on one my escapes from reality in the shops of Georgetown. It was matte black and only about 7 inches in diameter so it was perfect for one. I would get it good and hot and sprinkle it with salt and grill to a fare thee well under a splatter screen.
