Doesn't matter what it is....it's gross!

What the heck is that smutzy stuff on the doors? I also get the heebie-jeebies when people take pictures of the fridge contents! FEH!

Venus at least the stuff in the fridge was current "I hope". I was channel surfing Wed night and I caught part of a show on TLC and it was one of those shows like "Clean House" or "Mission Organization". This guy had a oversized two car garage that you could not even get into, it was so stuffed. He had three or four refrigerators all plugged in and running and he forgot they were there. When they got to the one farthest in the back they opened it. They found a deli container if Humous dated 2001 and the show was this year. Also found a Tupperware container with Tiramasu (Spelling?) in it. The guy opened it and it was like soemthing from a science project. I know Emeril always wishes for smell-a-vision. Thank god we didn't have it that night. I often wonder how people can live like that. I think the stuff people here find in the appliance grave yards are in better shape.

I thought the word 'feh' was of Yiddish/Jewish extraction, but the perusal of 2 online Yiddish dictionaries did not confirm that assumption.

I believe (correct me if I'm wrong, retromom) it's an exclamatory expression which can mean anything from 'Huh!' to 'Crap!' to 'Uff-da' (I live around Norwegians) to 'Day-yam!'

buyers too, sir ...

When I worked for Sears I swear to you they would come in to buy and not know if their appliances were gas or electric.

"On full-heat is it blue or red?"

Just for kicks I'd ask just such a nudnik if their ref. is gas or electric (in my most serious manner) and I'd get a blank stare as they thought about it. Some had NO CLUE I was toying with them.

One time, a customer insisted on ordering a 24 inch wide machine for a 23.5 inch space. Under "special instructions" I snuck in in huge bold capital letters.

SPACE PER CUSTOMER IS 23.5 INCHES WIDE HE WANTS THIS MACHINE.

Well, delivery called me and thanked me up & down. Saved them the trouble of hauling the appliance out of the truck.

Gas refirgerators

Not at Sears!!

LOL, yes technically, there are gas refrigerators.

But we are are SO FAR from Amish country in this neck of the woods, on so many levels.

The last one I saw around here was from the 1940's and located in a pizzeria. It had rounded corners and a flue vent!
Last seen circa 1975. LOL

$1,678 for a gas ref.

LOL What a bargain @ twice the price of an electric one!

1) heats up the house
2) Competes with you for oxygen.
3) Gives off poisons, CO, CO2, NOx, SOx, and just for fun adds hunidity by giving off water vapor.
4) Will yellow you walls and paint job. just as a gas stove does.

No to mention having to fill it with volatile liquid fuel or have a propane tank *KABOOM* nearby.

I WANT one.LOL
