My wu902 jetclean washer is not spraying water from or rotating its upper wash arm. What's going on here? I would love to get a service manual for it but can't find one.

If it's not spraying from the top it means that water isn't getting to the upper wash arm. Since you don't mention that the machine is leaking water, that rules out a broken hose to the upper wash arm. This most likely means that there is a clog somewhere between the pump chamber and the actually wash arm itself. Here is a scan of the water system of an earlier belt-drive model RR Maytag Dishwasher. To my knowledge, they all basically used the same design from about 1974 until they dropped this design in the late 1980s.

The holes on the upper spray arm could also be plugged. Occassionally I would take a needle or tooth pick to clean out the holes on both the lower and upper wash arms. The upper wash arm is easily removed by unscrewing the nob.
