I like the Hotpoint better. Two big burners, it's not avocado, there's some clamshell action, and it has the more attractive price point of the two.
I've never cared for GE's push buttons, except the hood-mounted ones for cooktops. To me, the GE looks like a budget model compared to the Hotpoint.

When we moved in here 30+ years ago, we had the Hotpoint in avocado in the kitchen, with a matching avocado AMC refrigerator.
