Hello hello! I am a younger guy (27) and have always been fascinated by Vintage appliances. I started watching Red Carpet Drew and Robert from YT (Automatic washer) back around 2010 or so. Although sadly. I have not been able to buy anything from that point on. There is one in particular i'd LOVE Too find one of these Portable G.E Washer or GE Hot Point Portable washer Anyone happen to know the rarity of them? I love Twin Tubs as well. But rarely seen here in the Southwest Michigan marketplace for sale. I am about 15 miles from Holland, MI on US-31 (The Tulip festival town).
Overall, I am hoping to meet some new friends here, have fun, and gain knowledge. I like to DIY on my own stuff. But i can imagine parts are difficult to say the least! to find this stuff. I am nearing the point of owning a small, one-story house for myself, located down the road from my parents. I plan If i get it too fully furnish it with everything from the 1960s - 90s Period, correct items. P.s My parents bought a new washer/dryer set about 2 years ago and they are already falling apart. (The washer) has a awful Plastic grinding/Stripping sound in certain modes (Heavy, Whites etc). I don't trust new... not when i already have all my vehicles that are 40+.
