Early 70's
Chachp,
My sister got a "dishwasher" for christmas one year. It had the "tea set" along with it. You hooked it up to the kitchen sink faucet (rubber boot over the faucet) and "let'er rip". It had a basket in it that all of the plates and cups and silverware fit into that rotated. Clear plastic top and a yellow bottom. Since we lived out in the country, this toy was used very seldom as Dad was always concerned about having to pump the water from the well and run it down the septic tank. I got the bright idea to take it out in the yard. My sister and I loved playing with it. (Well, I did more than my sister.) One day, Jan left it laying where she shouldn't have and Dad ran over it with a load of hay in the truck. Needless to say, the crusher got it.
I used to love cooking up mudpies and seeing how long it would take that dishwasher to get them clean again....oh the memories....
