Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I have two sales-spec sheets saved, a 1955 Zenith Model 400 deluxe topload washer/dryer pair and a 1955 Model 200 budget pair.  They're in my PotD folder but both files are dated 6/30/2010 so they may be from one of Ultramatic's Vintage Appliance Advertisements threads.  I can't share them here in case they are PotDs.

Zenith sourced their automatics from Apex (fiberglass washer tub with water-balance pockets) and this wringer looks Apex-built as well.  I wonder if the Zenith name on appliances went away with the end of Apex in '58?  Did they build their own refrigerators or source them from Coolerator?

Same auction has a good looking Maytag Freezer (Amana) as well --

Bradross refurbed a Zenith a few years back, a machine displaying many Speed Queen similarities, the tranny in particular, if memory serves. The one featured in this thread actually looks like a Speed Queen cousin.

What a handsome tub.
