Hi all.
The KUDS25 I rescued and restored a feee years ago, has fallen out of service again.
The door switch has fried, taking some of the wire harness with it.
Two of the control panel bosses broke as I was unscrewing them, so that no longer fastens properly.
The control board is mostly good, but sometimes it will open the detergent dispenser door right after the first fill.
The pump seal makes a little bit of noise but is in good shape and does not leak.
The top rinse spinner has been modified with new tubing and a new wash arm designed and 3d printed by me.
Washed great up till it died.

I am offering the whole machine for pickup, or individual parts for only shipping cost.
I’d rather it go to someone who could further recover it, or use the parts to keep their own PowerCleans going.

More photos on request.

What is the model number of that machine? Do you have the pics of the inside?
My aunt has that exact dishwasher in her garage. According to the date code, it is from 1994. Its model number is KUDD230B0. Inside, it looks pretty much identical to my KDS-21, except that the upper wash arm is plastic instead of stainless, and the detergent dispenser is white instead of turquoise.
Hope this helps,
Thatwasherguy.

How I wish they still made this exact machine but without the ability to over-ride the water heating and with two water valves. And with a 2000s version Power Clean Filer Module. and with at least two full rinses.

Other than that it is a beautiful and well built machine. Whirlpool cleaned up a lot of the unnecessary complexity that Hobart had and made it a more reliable machine overall. Anything Whirlpool Power Clean and Whirlpool Kitchen-Aid makes me emotional.

Here is the tech sheet and cycle sequence.

Sorry to hear about the demise of your 25 series, I have the flat front panel (Architect Series) version and it's one of my all-time favorite dishwashers.
I'd really like to see the new top wash arm you printed. What did you think of the change in performance?

The 23 series you re-installed is also a great machine, I bought a similar model in 1995.

Hi Gansky,
Here's a video clip of the designed upper wash arm I made for the KUDS25 when the original conduit broke.

The experimentation and design took about 4 months, where I went through several iterations, from design copies of GE Power Showers, WP rinse arms, and this one featured, which is a Frigidiare-inspired design. I think this one gives a good compromise of coverage in 3 zones, inner/middle, outer row, and outer corners.
The water volume is limited from the little feed tube, so I was limited to about 2-3 active jets.
I "did" notice a better uptick in performance in most of these arm designs cleaning yibbles off the tops of cups in the four corners.
The OEM little spinner disk never reached the corners, or much of the far side rows. It really just flung water around the inner and middle rack area.

Anyway, this subassembly is also available for anyone that has a 3rd level feed PowerClean.
I'll even print more and provide some supply sources for the rubber tubing.
We can talk pricing in PM if we come to that.

Regarding availability of the KUDS25, or its parts, I'm going to start putting it on ebay and OfferUp in about 2 weeks.
I just wanted to give the good folks of this community first dibs.
Otherwise after that, you'll start to see parts show up on those forums.
