Bendix Question

I finally got my 1947 Bendix hooked up and running. It will only fill on the cold water side. The hot water fill valve seems to have some kind of thermostate. Any suggestions as to what to do to correct this problem?? Thanks for your help.
I also have a timer that won't advance. Who rebuilds timers these days??

Do you have a service manual or parts manual for this machine? Knowing the part numbers of things you’re looking for is a huge help in tracking them down.
