Christmas in July: Surprise G.E. Filter Flo!

This model was the last washing machine my Parents had in their last house. It was unusually quiet, a good cleaner and lasted beyond 13 years (it was still working when we sold the house).

How To Replace The Two Speed Clutch On A G.E. Filter Flo

I always appreciate, celebrate and save these wonderful How-To threads. Guy, thank you very much for doing and posting this. This is a project I actually might be able to do with my very limited tech skills. John, I agree with your comment about how easy it would have been to use a two-speed...

Pink 1957 Frigidaire Control Tower Set in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area...

Why can't I see that video? I can hear the audio but can't see anything. Do I need to use Google Chrome or something?

Pink 1957 Frigidaire Control Tower Set in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area...

Robert, your post with the renovated Control Tower agitator set is STUNNING (I'm using it as a Screen Saver). Is that Photoshopped or is it real?

    Maytag info I FOUND IT!.......YAY!

That "Ladder Diagram" is great; easiest schematic to read and make sense of if one isn't a trained Electrician.

LOVE the center burner on this RCA range!!

Amazing how American appliance manufacturers once made products that were so useful.

    Never Used Ultrawash Powerclean Dishwasher

I beg to differ. I own a previous version of the pictured Power Clean and although it's a decent dishwasher it is most definitely not the best cleaner I've ever used. The racking isn't that great even with an "adjustable" upper rack which only gives about an inch in flexibility. Removing and...

GE Filterflo? First Steps to start

Speaking for myself, that machine, if it's in good working condition, is worth the price just for all of the working parts which could be transplanted into many Filter-Flo's all the way back to the V-12's. If you like it, why not? I'd love to have a working FF with a mini-basket again. I can't...

    J C Penny DW

Me too. Interesting collection of parts cribbed from both GE and Hotpoint factories: GE bottom rack, Hotpoint top rack, a wash arm/tower that's an amalgam, never seen that door interior and, I must say, a much cleaner/prettier front than either of that vintage. I wonder if those missing front...

Anybody have information about this Washer?

It's an LG WM9500HKA; and although I swore off of LG appliances because they didn't have a replacement circuit board for one of the best washers I've ever used, the pickings for large capacity machines are slim. I'm tempted because I could save some money and time avoiding the Dry Cleaners.

what would be your dream vintage dishwasher to own and use in 2023

This really is a "dream" dishwasher...it has never existed. It's a Maytag WP-600 portable re imagined as a built-in Pull-out machine.

    Vintage GE Mini Basket

That photo is a bit deceptive. That particular Mini-Basket only fits the Perf-tub models with a Straight-3 Activator. They were labeled either V-14 or V-16 depending on the model year. Those models were sold between 1967 and 1972 IIRC.
