    Tender-Matic instructions

Wow this is incredible technology considering it basically does exactly the same as “auto roast “ on my Miele oven. Heat to maximum to sear the meat then drop back to roasting temperature. Amazing to think an oven did this 60 plus years ago.

    Dishwashing away from home

Foraloysius, I believe the brand is Comfee, I’d never heard of it before. I was going to buy it from Amazon but ended up buying a slightly used one from EBay for half the price. We don’t go away on long enough trips for laundry to need doing, but of course dishes are a different story, , even on...

    Dishwashing away from home

Hi Appnut, yes it is a countertop model, the difference with this one is that there is an option to fill it manually from the top, pouring six litres of water into it. This is what makes it workable in the camper. We have made a rolling platform for it so that it pushes across to the right when...

How often do you use the self clean function on your oven?

2-3 times a year here…… although I always do it mid December cos I like the oven clean for Christmas.

Miele G5600 "Futura" Dishwasher Error Code F-24

I had this exact repair done by Miele last week….£279! I was very glad to have it quickly resolved and my dishwasher back in business though.

    Miele G7166 Dishwasher Update

I sadly haven’t had the best of luck with my Miele dishwashers (or the fridge-freezer, the micro-combination and the washing machine for that matter…) My first dishwasher was on its second repair at 4.5 years old when the Miele technician deemed it beyond economical repair. Its replacement is...

To pre-rinse dishes or not to pre-rinse...

Everyone should do what suits them best, after all, it’s not harming anyone else is it! But my experience of being in sole charge of the dishwasher for about 35 years, and being a light scraper, never a rinser, is about 13 775 clean loads, no clogged machine and a filter that gets a cursory...

    New Dishwasher Needs

@reply14 Yes it couldn’t be easier….. rinse under the cold tap for a few seconds and replace. As previously mentioned in practice this needs doing very infrequently. I’d compare the workload to topping up the rinse-aid and certainly less than refilling the salt reservoir!

    New Dishwasher Needs

Apart from a few in the 70s, European dishwashers haven’t to my knowledge had food disposers……and it’s never been an issue…….. I scrape lightly, and I mean lightly! Very happy to load plates still with some spaghetti, peas, mashed potato etc on. Never rinse, never soak burnt on ovenware. I check...

How Much REFRIGERATOR Does a Home Need

#37 Touring houses for sale is the best fun! But whilst in the UK you must have looked around properties that were quite early in the build process because it is virtually unheard of for a property to be sold without a kitchen. In fact in the UK a house is not legally mortgageable without a...

New Bosch 800 series has adjutable zones

Hmmmmm…….I often select the intense lower basket option on my Miele if I’ve loaded casseroles etc…….I’ve never worried that the plates in the same load would rather be washed at a lower pressure…..anything delicate is always going to be in the middle rack isn’t it?
