New here but that sounds exciting. You'll all soon need your screen actors guild card😆
Anyway speaking of conversion I may have talked my coworker into buying a speedqueen as his went kaput. He especially liked the fact that they were in the US as his last washer parts had to be ordered and had...
Well, decided to go thrift shopping and there on my first outing found anO'Keeffe and Merritt stove. Missing a gas knob, some rust inside the stove and missing chrome on top right corner. The knobs did in fact come with a red "ring" over white. Kinda classy. IF it had a periscope window this...
^^^Yeah! What he said! :D
2800 rpm washer! Drool....we need a "Tim Allen" tool guy to test one to....10,000 rpm!! Muwhaha! Out in a field way, way away from anything.
Went to an estate sale today and some little nuances that might be missed in pictures. A built in toaster for instance. Also being this is a Vintage washer site I'd thought I'd take a pic of the GE washer. Dryer had the same design. No pic of that as it had a ton of stuff on it.
Very cool home.
"Skeptical about the Eco spray rinse, ourselves, we thought a weekend experiment might be in order. Washed a load of cotton t-shirts & sweat pants using the Eco cycle.
After that, we performed a rinse & spin cycle expecting to see evidence of soap or suds. We really couldn't see anything."...
The slow interim spin would be a total dealbreaker for me."
Don't. Whatever it's doing, however it goes about it's job I am in absolutely ecstatic on how the towles have come out smelling like natural cotton again. Not mildew or excessive detergents. Awesome rinses. After shaving I can't help...
Left a house last week where I bought the Electrolux vacuum that STILL had it's original shag carpet. :D
Remember a story where a lady had many offers to have her shag green & orange carpets replaced by her kids. She would have non of it. To many memories of them crawling on it and growing up...
"I know there are exceptions, but most were white.
I would be furious to see someone do a monitor top in red."
I kniw where your coming from however I wouldn't be. It's good enough for me to know next generation still cared enough to seek something out and kept it alive & working for the next...
"Hopefully the link works; poor shot of a Hardwick(e) with legs and wood handles in flawless condition that might become available to carry out on Chicago's south side. The apartment was owned by a chef/cookbook writer. It's a one oven - broiler rotisserie rather than dual ovens (like my OKM)."...
Beautiful
But some serious moola. Thanks for finding it. I'll have to keep tab on getting one at a "steal" as I'm none to keen on spending $4500 on a stove. Not saying it isn't "worth" it but depends on a persons priorites I guess. I've found some rare things of my other hobbies" in the wild"...
Absolutely loving my 9 series. Just to address a couple points that you brought up I feel the capacity is fantastic in this SQ Awne9. As a comparison, our last washer the Maytag Neptune while the capacity was same or just a smidge higher took many more loads to complete our laundry than the SQ...
